  • Indian Lake County Park – One of Dane County’s largest parks at 442 acres. Miles of cross-country and nature trails. Scenic views of the Driftless area.
  • Pleasant View Golf Course – Situated on hills approximately 300 feet above Lake Mendota, Pleasant View Golf Course provides panoramic views. Pleasant View Golf Course offers 27 holes of well-maintained, championship golf, a 9-hole scenic par 3 course, and an outstanding practice range. The course was awarded the Gold in Madison Magazine’s Best of Golf Courses for 2018 and 2019. Owned and operated by the City of Middleton. Great place to grab a burger on the patio.
  • Rosemary Garfoot Public Library – Events/activities for kids of all ages, adults, storytimes, book discussions, etc. Facebook live and virtual events held during COVID-19 restrictions.
  • Festge County Park – Scenic views of the Driftless area 100 ft above the Black Earth Creek.
  • Salmo Pond is a gorgeous 7.5-acre county park that offers shoreline fishing, three accessible fishing piers, two accessible shore fishing stations and picnic areas. 
  • Black Earth Creek – Class 1 coldwater fishery. Premier trout destination. Anglers from all over the Midwest to flyfish. 
  • Ice Age National Scenic Trail – Over 1,000 miles of trail which follows the edge of this ancient glacier. Come to hike and snowshoe the trail, and it’s a place where you can even backpack and cross-country ski
  • Ironman Loop – The 42.61-mile biking loop starts in Verona, goes to Mount Horeb, Cross Plains then back to Verona. The route is done twice, plus an additional route to and from the Monona Terrace, to complete the 112-mile course.
